This is a small selection of Public Domain pieces of which weI've recorded a performance. Sometimes, a classical piece appropriately edited or arranged is the right choice for a particular type of scene or situation. A service in general we're always happy to provide on request.

The 20th Prelude and Fugue from Bach's 48 (The Well-Tempered Clavier) for piano. The prelude is fast, spiky and intricate, suiting scenes of frenetic activity. The fugue is constantly building and increasing in complexity and might suit scenes where a plan is coming together or heist is in progress.

Used to stunning effect in the movie Schindler's List; though changing in dynamic level maintains a relentless intensity, combining aggressive force with emotional anguish. Perfect for comparing the mechanical with the human or to underscore frenetic, purposeful activity - Contemporary or historical.

This beautiful melody, full of emotion and subtlety, opens Bach's Goldberg variations for solo piano - and is based on a song he had written earlier for his wife. Used in the film Hannibal, it combines great expression and depth with a dreamy air of detachment and creates a sophisticated ambience.

If the toccata in Dm is too 'in your face' for your project and you need something that can sit more in the background or under a voice-over, this is the Bach organ piece for you. This is a phantom, mad professor or vampire hatching an evil plan. Perfect for creating a dramatic spooky atmosphere.

After a soft, plaintive introduction, there is a haunting melody - a more light hearted middle section and a final return to the main theme. Used in the films 'The Pianist', 'The Peacemaker','The Karate Kid (2010) and sampled by Alicia Keys in 'As I Am' - this is the ultimate bitter-sweet piano solo

As above, but this time we've added a string accompaniment and edited the track to suit a specific emotional context and scene length.

Used to great effect in the films 'Madame Sousatzka' and 'Sunshine', this wistful duet opening is one of his crowning achievements. It is at once both child-like and profound, speaking of a tragic sadness which must be hidden from public gaze. Always elegant and sophisticated, but warm and human.
